Clearing out is taking lesser time than I thought! I'd planned to clean out only the storeroom shelves yesterday, but because life is not compartmentalised, I ended up pulling out stuff from the wardrobe as well. So half the wardrobe was done by 9pm last night! :-) Woo-hoo!
More childhood relics. Unearthed a set of patchwork quilts delicately handsewn by Ma-ma, nicely folded in a Fitti box (yes good grief, we still have a Fitti box from either my or Karate Kid's baby days!!! Time stops in the wardrobe...)
Another box filled to the brim with scrap material from yesteryears ( I recognised those from a beanbag we had in the living room eons ago, and from a baby mattress cover...). This piece brought the most excitement - it was from the very first set of bedlinen that Finance Minister made for me when I was a child. Finance Minister used to make all our bedlinen, including curtains. I remember she also made PJs for us :-) It's a skill I never picked up, and doubt I'd be any good at...
Flashback (see the bedlinen!!!)
* Red bedframe the handiwork of Granite Man
Going on to the rest of the wardrobe today. Should be manageable. Inspection tomorrow, and some late night shifting...

how cute!! my mum just pulled out a little cot sheet on which she embriodered my name on all those years ago! Bubbles now sleeps on it when she's at grandma's :)
