Moving Flora

We moved Flora today. Rather, Eagle & his guys did. They were amazing. His 2 guys simply hoisted Flora up on some cloth-like ropes and carried her down on their shoulders, supported only by the strength of their legs! So that's how it's done. I've always wondered. I have new-found respect for these supposedly 'small' jobs. They take out so much from a person, and can be so hazardous.

Took a ride with them to our new home, so that I could show them the way up. Chatted with Eagle on the way there, and found out that his family has been in the business for 80 years and are in fact a very well known company. Ignorant lil me :-p Also found out that they work very long and hard. Eagle said he and his guys had been working till 4am the night before, and would be working till 3am today. Why, I asked. Because of the late night concerts and performances - they have to shift the instruments after the shows end. And jobs through the day - immediately after they were done with Flora, they rushed off to move a Grand. :-(
