Scotch Eggs - Part I

It's been at least 11 years since Finance Minister made her version of Scotch Eggs. If there's any recipe worth recording, it's this one - because (to me) it is a very tedious process. The final product is very cute, and belies the hard work that is needed.

The story in our family about her Scotch Eggs goes this way - when I was a kid, she made these Scotch Eggs for one of Granite Man's office parties. They were well received. It so happened that I was sitting next to 2 ladies who wondered aloud who had made the Scotch Eggs. Apparently I proudly announced to them that it was my Mummy who made them :p

So. Part I - separately preparing various ingredients - potato mash, biscuit crumbs, boiled quail's eggs. The potatoes took me the better part of the afternoon! :( But if I do this more often, I'll have nicely toned biceps :)
