Celebrations

May is a busy month. In our family and in my circles of friends, May marks the official start of multiple celebrations every month for the rest of the year - birthdays, Mothers' and Fathers' Day anniversaries etc.

We did several things for M-Day this year, including a cook-out at home. Miso cod - fierce. Roasted vegetables - comforting. Broccoli soup - easy. Didn't burn the kitchen down, and we got to eat before 8.30pm. Not bad.

Another celebration today. The Patster and Pungentsock are visiting tonight! Yes, more than a year after we've shifted into this new home :p My fault for still having unorganised housewarming parties :( We will celebrate the Patster's birthday with a pseudo-French Apple Cake!! (I will remember to add more apples the next time...) Bring out the ice cream too :)

Melted butter - not for the faint-hearted
