Life-changing Decisions

Been a mad crazy busy period on many fronts. As far as the house is concerned, we're... still trying to decide which Creative to work with :-p I just checked back to see when we started this process of Creative-shopping - almost 2 months back! Wow - we're so slow! We're down to Creatives #1, #4 & #5. We all think Creative #1 wins hands down on quality - Creative #1 would rather die than do imperfect work. But I know, it could be just good salesmanship so far. We get to view a house tomorrow, so we'll see for ourselves if all that is true. I'm personally saddest if we say goodbye to Creative #4, because Creative #4 is the most fun and relaxing to work with. Creative #5 has been the most expensive of the three, but this is also where we have got our best, think-out-of-the-box design ideas...

So it's a tough choice. A life-changing decision. Whoever we end up with, we're going to be 'living' with till about July '10 (I'm counting in the after-sales service). And forever say goodbye to the other two. After 2 months of meeting them rather intensively, it feels funny to abruptly say goodbye. Looking at it another way, I guess we've been fortunate to have met 3 very good Creatives, all strong in different ways.

On another sad note, the small backup TV we've been using since the big Sony one died... has died too. So we've had no TV for the last 4-5 days. I'm ok with that - I don't have time to watch TV in any case. But I think not having a TV is tough for Granite Man and Finance Minister. Finance Minister actually wanted to go to Comex this weekend to see if there are any good deals (the plan being to get a TV now, which would go into the master bedroom in our new home). But Granite Man wasn't too keen, so... The house is pleasantly quiet now I must say. But it's odd to have dinner around the dinner table, instead of at the coffee table in front of the TV, which is our usual ritual... Deciding not to get a TV from now till mid-Jan '10 is a life-changing decision too - major lifestyle change. Let's see how long we hold on to this resolve.

These might be the easiest life-changing decisions to tackle yet.
